The proposed second location for Buc-ee's in El Paso County Colorado has seen quite a bit of backlash and a local group, Integrity Matters, has sued to stop the annexation of the 36-acre property located at Interstate 25 and County Line Road in Palmer Lake, Colorado.

Colorado's Second Buc-ee's Location is in Limbo

According to the Loveland Reporter-Herald, plans for the second location are currently on hold as the application to annex the land where Buc-ee's would have been built has now been withdrawn.

The board approved the first steps in the annexation process for Buc-ee's. The first step in the process was to determine if the application met all the legal requirements. Traffic studies, fiscal analysis, and potential impacts on services such as water and sewer would have been the next part of the process.

However, there is some hopeful news for Buc-ee's fans located in Southern Colorado. A new application is expected to be submitted. Currently, there is no word of whether the location would remain the same for Colorado's second Buc-ee's location.
