HGTV’s “Ugliest House in America” Finds a Gem in Colorado

It stars the comedian and actress Retta as she travels across the country to try to find the "ugliest" houses. While some of these homes are in fact straight up ugly, some of them are just unique.

In the search for the ultimate ugly home, the show crew made several stops in Colorado.

Meet the Larkspur, Colorado Home Built Into a Red Rock

One of the residences that they visited was in Larkspur, Colorado, a town just under an hour drive from Denver.

This abode is absolutely wild. It's built on top of and into a giant red rock. Located at 6619 Apache Drive, it's been dubbed "the Rock House" by locals.

A 35-Foot-Tall Rock Takes Up Half the Property

Originally built in 2000, the home was sold this year for approximately $1,000,000, according to Zillow.

The red rock takes up half of the property and is 35 meters tall.
