According to 9News, the vote and the funding shrink will result in job cuts across the Northern Colorado school district. More than 100 licensed staff members were not renewed at the end of the 2025-2026 school year, and more than 70 classified staff were "staffed out" around the same time.

The Poudre School District said that the licensed staff cuts were probationary teaching positions throughout the school district. In total, 181 Poudre School District staffers were let go.

However, some positions of retiring or resigning staff were not backfilled to help fill the budget shortfall. The Poudre School District says that if positions eliminated in budget cuts are eventually reinstated in the coming months, they would follow the process outlined in the employee agreement, which includes recall provisions.
