PHOTOS: Check Out The Views On Colorado’s 11 Tallest Mountains
We have mountains, LOTS of mountains.
One of the things I was looking forward to doing most when I first moved to Colorado a little over a year ago was summiting my first 14'er. At least here, I previously scaled a 14'er back in Washington, the state's ONLY 14'er, the majestic Mt. Rainier. On that hike, I needed an ice ax, climbing gear and had to navigate around some sketchy crevasses but no such stuff to deal with on most Colorado 14'ers, including my first one...Quandary Peak.
There are 58 14'ers all around the great state of Colorado and I've only imagined what it would like to stand atop one of those looking across the Rocky Mountain range and taking it all in.
It was pretty surreal to actually get on top of one and experience it for myself. If you've ever wondered what it looks like from literally being on top of the world, I've put together what life looks like in Colorado above 14,000.
It's pretty incredible and whether this gets you to hit one of these summits or admire it from afar, there's no denying that Colorado is literally one giant postcard.
While I was scrolling through my Instagram, I thought it would be fun to share some of the views from the tallest mountains in Colorado...and the entire country for that matter.
