Working while having children can be a major challenge in Colorado. I do not have children myself, but my mom was a single parent. She worked her tail off to provide for our family and also happened to be the best mom she could be.
I'm incredibly thankful for her, I know it must have felt impossible.

Colorado officially was ranked the third most parent-friendly when it comes to being in the workforce.
Colorado parents still spend a lot of money of childcare. 30% of their income go towards their kids. At the same time, the pain of costs is alleviated by the average yearly salary of parents. They make an average of $74,167 per year.
Connecticut and Maryland were the other top states rounding out the top three.

According to Flexjobs, the top challenges for parents are finding time for themselves, feeling like they are not doing enough, and paying for childcare.
While you are a parent and have a duo life in the workforce, you need to take time for yourself, according to experts. We know that is much easier said than done but taking time for yourself, even if it's an hour or two a week, can be beneficial for your entire family.
