Over 1,600 Cars Got Tickets at Denver International Airport Last Month
If you have a flight out of Denver International Airport soon, there is something you should do before you embark on your journey. Yes, you will need to pack your bags, but there is one more thing you might want to take care of before boarding your flight. If you don't, it might cost you a pretty penny.
I know many people who prefer to park themselves at Denver International Airport. It's easy, convenient, and when you return home, your vehicle is right there waiting for you. However, you'd better be up to date on your registration when you park your vehicle at the airport.

Last month, more than 1,600 travelers returned home to Colorado from their trip to find an unwelcome surprise waiting for them on their vehicles. A ticket to the tune of $95. For what? Expired tags.

In total, 1,691 tickets were issued to unsuspecting travelers while they were away on a trip. The fine of $95, plus the cost of renewing registration in Colorado, and a possible penalty fee depending on how far out the registration has expired, is certainly an unexpected travel expense.
The moral of the story is that if you are going to take a trip out of Denver International Airport any time soon, you better have your registration up to date, or you might end up paying a little more for your parking at the airport in the tune of a $95 citation.
