Cottonwood Land and Farms could be one of the next up-and-coming neighborhoods in Fort Collins.

According to The Coloradoan, Cottonwood is proposing to build over 1,500 units on a 185-acre area near Horsetooth and Ziegler roads.

If approved, the property could feature residential housing, offices, and senior housing, as well as restaurants and retail stores.

A large portion of the property would also be reserved for a park and other open space.

But Cottonwood is still a ways away from becoming a reality, as the project must progress through multiple stages before even being considered for approval.

However, officials have approved plans for Montava, a 4,000 home neighborhood that is set to break ground in northeast Fort Collins in 2022.
