Survey Says Getting High and Buying Things Leads to Regret in Colorado
Smoking marijuana is legal in Colorado, and many decide to take advantage of this law and do so. Some smoke occasionally, some do it socially, and some do it often and at times daily. Everyone reacts differently to doing so. Some can handle it with no problems, some cough dramatically, and others get headaches or don't like the feeling. For those who decide to smoke marijuana, being high can lead to different results. Some like to play video games while doing so, some like to relax and hang out, and some like to shop online when they are high. Many in Colorado have admitted to regrets when high, but the regrets they have may surprise you and not be what you think.
Shopping While High in Colorado

With Amazon, technology, and many apps, shopping is easier to do now than ever before. You can do it from anywhere, and with the tap of a finger or the click of a button, you can buy nearly anything you want. Combine this easy access to being high, and you might find yourself buying some things you don't want or need. A recent study by cardrates.com revealed that 10% of people have regretted a purchase when they were high, with 39% regretting two or three purchases, 25% regretting four to six, and 25% had no self-control and made seven or more purchases that they regretted when high. For those bad at math, that means half of the people surveyed made four or more purchases when high and regretted them later. While it is one thing to make a purchase, how much are people spending when doing so?
Spending Money While High in Colorado

It isn't just one thing to buy something. If you buy something for $10 or less, you may regret the purchase, but it won't hurt your bank account that much. Spending a few hundred dollars or thousands of dollars, though, will sting a little bit for most people. According to the survey, 18% spend less than $100, 32% spend between $101 and $250, 22% spend between $251 and $500, 16% spend between $501 and $1,000, and 12% spend over $1,000. If you are someone who is spending that much money and has made multiple purchases you regret, it might be best to put your phone, computer, and debit or credit cards away when you get high.
