New Bill Could Ban Puppy, Kitten Sales at Colorado Pet Stores
A bill called the Humane Pet Act, which would ban the sale of puppies and kittens in pet stores in the state of Colorado, is on its way through the legislature.
If the bill eventually becomes law, the goal is to assist in shutting down puppy mills across the country.
According to the Denver Channel, some small business owners are not in agreement with the bill, as they say their puppy and kitten purchases come from reputable breeders.
