How can you get in trouble for being naked in your own home on your private property? If you are exposing yourself with an open window that is viewable from the street or can be seen with the naked eye from off your property, technically you are exposing yourself. Most would not call the cops if you walk by the window nude, but if your intent is to be seen, you are committing sexual acts, or aroused, then it would be deemed indecent exposure. If you walk by to get a drink of water, likely you are fine, and most would be understanding. If someone is on your property looking through your window and sees any of the above, they are trespassing and at fault, and you have done nothing wrong. If caught exposing yourself, it is a misdemeanor, the first two times in Colorado, with a third act leading to a Class 6 felony, which results in prison time and registering as a sex offender.
