The big blue man in Greeley, has been around since the 1960's, initially as an advertising gimmick for a tire and muffler company. In the fall of 2022, that unique "Muffler Man" got a very unique makeover.

You would have to assume that millions of travelers along Highway 85 have seen Greeley's "Muffler Man." How many, now, have noticed the change that he's gone through?

It wasn't until the summer of 2022, that I found out that Colorado has two "Muffler Men," one in Greeley and one in Longmont. I thought is was neat that they were so (relatively) close to each other, considering how big Colorado is.

With our radio stations residing in Windsor, Greeley is an easy drive, but I rarely get over to the east side of town. I did, however, catch on Facebook how the Greeley "Muffler Man" was getting a new paint job. So, I drove over to get a good look. I don't remember the artist's name, but he did a great job.

"Muffler Man" has nearly completely new look, with the artist giving him a new face, a new shirt and new shoes, all with some fresh paint. If you look closely, you could even see that "Muffler Man" has much more of a grin on his face, too.

With so many people traveling passed "Muffler Man" on a daily basis, it's great that someone took the time to apply their skills into giving him a cleaner look.
