I totally freaked out when I saw this. I stopped what I was doing, which was playing Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch and instantly had to check this out. Pic for proof...

Denver will host a real life style Mario Kart race next April. If you, like me, really want to race, it's too late. Tickets for the event are already sold out. You can, however, go and watch this super cool event! The race, dubbed "The Mushroom Rally" will be held during two weekends in April. Those days are on the 6th, 7th, 13th, and 14th. Race times are from 9am until 9pm.

The racers do not have to be a certain age, but a certain height is required. 4 feet 10 inches tall to be exact. Adults and juniors will race separately.  Numerous cities will hold these Mario Kart style races. At all of these races, some of the racers will have the chance to go to the grand finale races held in Las Vegas. Racers will dress up as their favorite characters of Mario Kart while they race on the streets of Denver. I will certainly be going down to check out this real life race that has been dubbed "the rally of a lifetime" on the Mushroom Rally's Eventbrite page. You can check out more info about the Mushroom Rally and the other cities that the races will be held in HERE.
