Make A Smile Part Of Your Uniform – Brian’s Blog
A smile goes a long way. I don't care what you do for a living, if you work in the public, a smile should be part of your uniform. I know that when I stop in the gas station on the way to work that if the person behind the counter smiles, I have a better day.
It isn't hard to put a smile on. The thing about a smile is that even if it starts out as a fake one, it always turns real. We have the power to effect people's day just by how we express ourselves. When I stop for a soda on my way to work and the person behind the counter is grumpy or just going through the motions it leaves me empty. Just like a football player needs a helmet, you need a smile if you work in the public. Believe me, I don't wake up smiling but I know my job is to be happy. I get to work and put that smile on the radio.
We all have the ability to make this world a happier place and it all starts with your face. Harness the power of smiles and pass them on. We owe it each other.
