Keep All the Fish You Catch at This Northern Colorado Spot
Bag limits? What bag limits? There is a spot you can fish at in Northern Colorado until October 10 where you can catch and keep as many fish as possible. According to a release from Colorado Parks and Wildlife, an emergency fishing salvage operation is happening in Weld County.
Anglers with a valid Colorado fishing license can stock up on plenty of fish before the season ends by catching largemouth bass, bluegill, channel catfish, black crappie, carp, gizzard shad, and rainbow trout. Colorado Parks and Wildlife needs the fish to be removed from the Poudre Ponds in Greeley, Colorado, before the draining of the ponds and work can be done.

The suspension of bag limits and regulation sizes of the fish means that all legal means of fishing are allowed, except the use of dip nets, seines, and snagging. Fishing at Poudre Ponds is permitted only during the daylight hours from sunrise to one-half hour after sunset.

If you are looking to spend the weekend near the water and want to take home as many fish as you possibly can, this is probably going to be the best opportunity you have in Northern Colorado this weekend. Colorado Parks and Wildlife says that fishermen removing the fish out of the ponds utilizing public salvaging will optimize the fishery resources.
