Our seasonal friend, mountain snowfall, returns this week as Colorado braces for an October storm that’s likely to impact travel along I-70. As cold air moves in, snow will arrive in the high country on Wednesday.

Several inches have been forecast above 9,500 to 10,000 feet, with the greatest potential for mountain travel problems late Wednesday into Thursday morning. If you are leaving the Western Slope and heading over the mountains, this storm will be worth watching.
