Denver’s First Pro Women’s Soccer Team Reveals Name and Stadium Plans

A new sports franchise is coming to Colorado, and we are incredibly excited about it. In March, it was announced that Denver was going to be getting its first professional women's soccer team.

Denver Welcomes Its First Professional Women's Soccer Team

A 13,500-seat stadium is in the works in Santa Fe Yards. The new stadium will be finished by 2028, and Colorado's newest sports franchise will have its inaugural season in 2026.

Big Win for Fans and the Colorado Community

This is all incredibly exciting. Not only will Colorado get a soccer team, but a futuristic stadium will benefit not only soccer fans, but the entire community.

Denver Summit FC: Team Name Officially Announced

When we were covering the new stadium being built, we briefly mentioned that the new soccer team was working on finalizing a name. The Denver Peak, Elevate, and Colorado Summit were all possible names. The new team name for Colorado's professional women's NWSL team has officially been announced.

The team announced that the team will be called Denver Summit FC. The team announced on July 22.

A Star-Studded Launch With Peyton Manning On Board

This will be the NWSL's 16th team. The team also said that Denver Broncos legend Peyton Manning will be one of their investors.

Colorado Team Merch Drops With Fresh Colors and Crest

Merchandise for Colorado's newest sports team is already available right now on their website. I really enjoy the colors and crest they landed on. The colors are red, green, and yellow. The crest is reminiscent of the old Denver Broncos logo with a new twist.
