Spirit Halloween Brings The Fun To These Northern Colorado Spots In 2026

People of all ages around Colorado really enjoy getting into the Halloween spirit: Costumes, home/yard decorations, throwing parties. Spirit Halloween comes to the Fort Collins area every season to help get get it done.

Where Are the Spirit Halloween Stores Across Northern Colorado for 2026?

It's a little disheartening to see a Spirit Halloween take over a "big empty" when they come to town. It'd be great if there wasn't some big place, not being used; but at least there's something there for a while, right? Be looking for these locations to open [sometime] in August:

• Fort Collins - 120 Bockman Drive (College Ave between Horsetooth and Boardwalk) where Conn's used to be. Note: Spirit Halloween does list "the former Big 5" at 2211 South College as a second location, but Crunch Fitness is there and still operating.
• Greeley - Spirit Halloween says that they'll be where Kmart used to be at 2400 West 29th Street. I would not be surprised if they end up 2628 11th Ave (former Big Lots) as they did in 2025.
• Loveland - 950 East Eisenhower Boulevard (Former Jax.) I can attest to the validity of that.
• Longmont: 1610 Main (Former Big 5.) That location is still unoccupied.

Spirit Halloween Dates Back to the Early '80s

It would be fun to see how the first Spirit Halloweens were laid out when they started in 1983. I bet there was a ton of Star Wars and Michael Jackson costumes/props. It was in 1999 that Spencer's bought them out and they really began expanding locations. There are usually about 40 locations across Colorado every year.
