Denver International Airport (DIA) has been the talk of the town (ok, more like the talk of the entire state) these last few weeks, and not for good reasons.

Flight delays, cancellations, outrageous security lines, and lengthy wait times are forcing some travelers to scramble to make alternate plans, or even worse - miss or cancel their plans altogether.

In the midst of the madness, I'm here to bring you some positive, reassuring news - particularly for those who have plans to fly out of or into Denver International Airport anytime soon:

It just so happens that I had travel plans of my own this week, which involved me flying out of DIA; after reading, hearing, and blatantly seeing just how brutal security lines at the airport have recently been, I naturally started to expect the worst.

In true fashion, however, I couldn't have been more wrong.

I just had the absolute pleasure of flying out of DIA (yes, you read that right) and I documented the entire experience - from checking my bags in, to waiting in that dreaded security line (which - spoiler alert - wound up being no dread at all), to catching the underground train and making the final trek to my gate.

In short - it was a breeze.

Disclaimer: This is not me giving you permission or suggesting that you show up for your flight 45 minutes before your boarding time; this is simply me letting you know that - at least for now - wait times at DIA aren't as bad as they reportedly have been in the last few weeks.

I Just Flew Out Of DIA - And It Wasn't As Bad As You Might Think
