In 2017, according to Denver's Westword, 665,134 pounds of legal marijuana were sold in Colorado (read in full here).
When it comes to retail sales only, colorado.gov states that there are 532 stores, 739 cultivations and 287 product manufacturers as of August 1, 2018. But, the Marijuana Policy Group at CU Boulder reports that here in the Front Range/Denver Metro region, the medical marijuana market is still largely a part of MJ sales.
And that haze over the mountains is, believe it or not, just wildfire smoke.
