Happy 4/20: Marijuana Delivery and Weed-Friendly Clubs Coming to Denver
Weed consumption in Colorado is about to be treated a little more like alcohol. The Denver Channel reported that delivery service and weed-friendly bars and clubs will soon become legal in the Mile High City.
An appropriate bit of news coming from Colorado on April 20: Two bills will change the marijuana business in the City of Denver, by allowing delivery from dispensaries, and permitting the use — and even sale — of weed inside bars and clubs.
Right now, these changes are only applicable to the City of Denver. In Fort Collins, it is illegal to consume marijuana in public. Weed 'social clubs' are also not permitted in Fort Collins, at this time. You can see Fort Collins' marijuana laws here.
Westword reported that so far in 2021, marijuana sales have hit a record high, stating, '$187.6 million worth of marijuana products were sold in the state in January.' But, the highest record for dispensary revenue was set in July of 2020, when it soared to over $200 million... because, well, last year was very stressful and we were stuck at home.
