Firefighter climbs into burning home in Fort Collins

A 64 year-old woman and her dog died after a fire in her home on Monday night in Fort Collins. The victim was transported her to Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland and then flown to University of Colorado Hospital in Denver, where she was pronounced dead.According to a press release from Poudre Fire Authority:

Firefighters were able to limit fire and heat damage mostly to the living room however there was smoke damage throughout the home Just off Drake & Overland Trail in Fort Collins.

Poudre Fire Authority Investigators are still working to determine cause.
