Authorities are asking for the public's help in determining the source of the Cameron Peak Fire.

According to a press release from the U.S. Forest Service, their fire investigation team is in need of photos, videos, or other information that could be relevant to the cause of the blaze, which started on August 13.

Officials are requesting media related to the southern trails of Cameron Peak, especially if it features active fire or smoke near the trails.

As of Wednesday (August 19) morning, the fire has grown to 15,738 acres. Governor Jared Polis has also issued a fire ban for the state of Colorado.
