Why Palomino Mexican Restaurant Is Closing in Evans

We're at the end of our lease term after several extensions that we have done over the years. We decided not to continue in that location.

Those who loved the restaurant might not have to wait long to find its replacement, however. Lucio says that they are actively searching for a location in Greeley that would be a hybrid restaurant of Palomino and another popular taco spot in Loveland and Fort Collins.

This hybrid would combine both the Palomino and fast casual restaurant, Vatos Tacos and Tequila, under one roof. While the search is on for a new location, there is not currently a timeframe as to when the new hybrid location would open.

Loveland Location Will Stay Open

The Loveland location for the Palomino Mexican Restaurant at 6190 Crossroads Boulevard will continue to operate as normal.

Employees of the Palomino Mexican Restaurant in Evans have been offered a transfer to the Loveland location or one of the other restaurants they own, Firehouse Subs. The Greeley Tribune reports that most employees at the Palomino Evans location have accepted these transfer offers.

While Evans will soon say goodbye to Palomino, fans may not have to wait long to see its return in a new form.
