A Colorado company that employs more than 500 workers has been sold. This company, a distributor that provides beers, wines, and spirits to many locations throughout Colorado, has been acquired by another company, according to Fox 21 News.

Major Colorado Alcohol Distributor Sold

The News that Eagle Rocky Distributing Company, with a location based in Loveland, Colorado, would shut down operations effective June 5, 2026, was announced on April 3. According to the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, all 514 employees would be laid off on the effective date.

WARN Notice Issued for Hundreds of Workers

The Colorado Warn List shows the notification would affect employees in Adams, Denver, and Larimer counties, as well as the Mesa, Pike's Peak, and Rural Alliance areas.

Eagle Rock Distributing is currently acquired by Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, prompting the Colorado WARN notice to employees of Eagle Rock Distributing. However, Fox 21 News is reporting that Terri Hayes, the President of the Tri Lakes Chamber of Commerce, says that Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits plans to retain the employees, facilities, and continue distribution operations in Colorado.

Eagle Rock Distributing has five distribution locations across Colorado:

  • Monument - 15080 Terrazzo Drive
  • Grand Junction - 2497 Power Road
  • Loveland - 3800 Clydesdale Parkway
  • Pueblo - 1045 South Santa Fe Avenue
  • Denver/Commerce City - 5000 East 47th Avenue
  • Durango - 796 Sawmill Road
