2024 Looks Bright: Colorado Now Top 10 State to Find New Job
I have been hearing from friends and family that getting a new job last year in Colorado was incredibly difficult. Many companies were in a hiring freeze, which was a tough time for Colorado's economy.
As we ring in the new year, we should be excited because many of those issues look like they are improving.
New Ranking Puts Colorado at the Top
A new ranking by WalletHub analyzed what states are the best for jobs. They considered 34 circumstances to create the official ranking. Not all circumstances and metrics were weighted the same.
Job opportunities, employment growth, and unemployment rate were the largest factors.
Jobs in Colorado: A Look at 2024
Colorado was ranked the 8th-best state for jobs for 2024. Looking at the data, Colorado grew to the 7th-best job market in the nation and the 15th-best economic environment.
This means that more jobs are opening up, but our economy still needs some work to improve.

Job Requirements Will Change in Colorado As Well
If you are searching for a new job, you have most likely noticed that the majority of jobs require a bachelor's degree. That is changing for many roles for the majority of companies across the state.
Nearly half of companies in Colorado will eliminate bachelor's degree requirements for various positions.
