Colorado Passes HB-1161, What It Means for Appliance Buyers
According to the National Propane Gas Association and other sources, a new warning label will be placed on all gas-fueled stoves sold in Colorado. HB-1161 has been signed into law by Governor Polis. The NPGA also noted that 189 million gallons of propane is sold each year in the state.

What the New Colorado Gas Stove Warning Label Will Say
According to the new law, the new labels will say this.
Understand the air quality implications of having an indoor gas stove... the adhesive label must include a website link or a quick response (QR) code or other machine-readable code that a potential consumer may use to access the web page established by the department with information on the health impacts of gas-fueled stoves.

Gas-powered stoves will not be banned in Colorado, but each one sold will have this new warning label. A lawsuit has been filed against the state of Colorado that questions the validity of the health claims that led to the bill.
