It seems we have had an influx of wildlife stories this summer and here is another one to add to the list. A Couple in Jefferson County has fought a mother bear and her cub after the pair entered the home on Monday night.

According to the Denver Channel, the bears came into the home and started eating their food.  When the homeowners went to investigate the noise, they found the bears munching on a loaf of bread. The 71-year-year old man punched the bear as his wife hit it with a baseball bat. The two bears fled out the screen door which they entered. The man suffered minor injuries with scratches and a cut to the face. Unfortunately, when the bear is found it will have to be euthanized since it attacked and injured a human.

Update: The bear has been tracked down and euthanized.
