This Colorado Truck Stop Just Ranked Among the Best in America — Here’s Where It Landed

Some of the hardest working people in Colorado and beyond have got to be truck drivers.

They work long hours driving all across the country so we can get the products, the food, or the supplies that we need for everyday life.

While these drivers are on the road, they've got to take a few breaks now and then. Whether it be to sleep, eat, or use the bathroom, drivers need to pop into a truck stop every now and then.

Colorado Truck Stop Named One of the Best in the U.S.

One Colorado truck stop was just recently named one of the best in the United States.

Trucker Path, an app for North American truck drivers put together a list of the top 100 truck stops for 2025. The list includes a combination of independent facilities and chain truck stops that were all selected by over a million drivers.

“This well-deserved accomplishment means that the 2025 winners stood out for their range of offerings and their dedication to customer service among the more than 9,000 truck stops and about 10,000 additional fueling locations on the Trucker Path app," said Chris Oliver, CMO at Trucker Path.

"We are pleased to showcase the nation’s top facilities for truck drivers as part of our mission to help make truckers’ lives on the road easier and more comfortable.”

Where Colorado Ranked on the 2025 Truck Stop List

Unfortunately, Colorado didn't quite crack the top five in any of the categories.

Top 5 Independent Truck Stops in 2025

1. Ohio Turnpike Tiffin River Service Plaza, West Unity, Ohio

2. Stones Truck Stop, Watertown, South Dakota

3. Truck Stop Sunoco, Grantsville, Maryland

4. Rainbow Trucker’s Lounge, West Wendover, Nevada

5. Rascal’s Shop Rite Travel Plaza, Rayne, Louisiana

Midwestern favorite Kwik Trip received the honors of having multiple spots on the chain truck stops list.

Now, where did the Centennial State fall on the top 100 truck stops overall?

The Only Colorado Truck Stop to Make the Top 100

Only ONE Colorado spot made the list. Coming in at #56 on the ranking is Lamar Travel Center in Lamar. Located at 708 N. Main Street, this facility offers several different fast food options like Charleys Philly Steaks, Dunkin', and KFC.

This travel center has an ATM, CAT Scale, driver lounge, RFID Pump Start, and a travel store.

Colorado Truck Stops Also on "Do Not Stop" List

Honestly, it's great to hear that Colorado has one of the best truck stops in the entire country, but we have to keep things in perspective.
