I have fond memories of going to a tree farm, grabbing the saw, and cutting down the perfect Christmas tree every year.

I also remember one year I cut the tree trunk way too short and it took my family 2 hours to figure out how to stand it up.

Those are cherished memories that an artificial tree can not provide.

Right now my artificial tree is standing up in my living room. I like it a lot, but it just isn't the same. There is something special about having an authentic tree. No matter how realistic an artificial tree looks, it just doesn't get me in the holiday spirit like a real tree does.
