The 19-acre “Beartrap Fire”. near Crystal Lakes, is now 100% contained. Rainfall helped with that. Crews from Crystal Lakes fire, Red Feather Lakes fire, Larimer County Sheriff's Office, Juniper Valley and the Colorado Department of Public Safety all worked worked to battle the blaze. Evacuation notifications were sent to 136 homes in the area, north of Fort Collins, but those evacuation orders were lifted yesterday morning.

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office hasn't determined what sparked the blaze. The Sheriff's Office says no structures were damaged by the fire and nobody was injured.

Shelter Closes

A dozen evacuees spent Wednesday night at the American Red Cross evacuation center at Livermore Community Church. The shelter has now been closed.
