Group Helping Colorado Kid Wildfire Victims Get Dream Bedrooms
The Marshall Wildfire victimized many Colorado families as 2021 ended and 2022 began. Many of those victims were children. One group has started an effort to provide dream bedrooms for as many of those kids as possible and this is their story.
CBS Evening News shared this quick backstory about how the Hope Lives Here Colorado group got their start and what their vision is:
The youngest victims of Colorado's Marshall Fire are getting a new place to call their own. Hope Lives Here Colorado is creating dream bedrooms for children whose families lost everything in the blaze.
No doubt these parents who are trying to help the most vulnerable have their hearts in the right place.
According to their report, there are still more than 100 children on the waiting list. If you'd like more information or know a family in need, you can follow the Hope Lives Here Colorado group on their Facebook page. According to a recent update on that page, it appears they're still looking for volunteers among those who also have a heart to help.
