The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office says the cause of the Stuart Hole Fire has been determined to be lightning.  The fire is now estimated to be about 227 acres with 45% containment.  No additional structures have been reported damaged other than the two to three out buildings previously reported.  No injuries have been reported and the evacuations remain in place.

EVACUATIONS TO BE LIFTED

The mandatory evacuations for the residents of Boxer Ranch subdivision along Boxer Ranch Road will be lifted at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.  Residents will be allowed to return to their homes.  All residents in the area should remain on alert and be prepared to evacuate if conditions change.

Fighting the Fire from the Air

A Type 1 helicopter has arrived and is working with the Type 3 helicopter, and the Single Engine Air Tanker. An Air Attack control plane is also working the fire.
