Do You Change Your Own Oil?

I’m a farm girl and am pretty certain that I could figure out how to change the oil in my 1980 Silverado. It’s a good old truck and you know they just don’t make them like this anymore! It’s not computerized at all so you can always easily fix something when it goes wrong and is pretty bare bones everywhere including under the hood.
It’s all of the other ‘stuff’ that a garage checks when you take it in for an oil change that remains somewhat of a mystery to me. I like someone to check things like belts and hoses, filters and fluids, etc. At 33 years old, Gertie needs a professional to take care of her. I just don’t want to have to worry about it and by the time you buy all of the materials needed to change the oil you don’t really save that much because there are usually some pretty good deals floating around. I think I’ll leave it to the experts for now!
