KIA States Last Week: WA – FL
Sgt. Jacob M. Hess – Age 22/Spokane Washington. Killed In Action, 1 January 2014, while supporting combat operations in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan. Sgt. Jacob M. Hess was assigned to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 26, Marine Aircraft Group 26, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C. The incident is still currently under investigation.
Sgt. First Class William K. Lacey – Age 38/Laurel Florida. Killed In Action, 4 January 2014, in the Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan, of injuries sustained when the enemy attacked his unit with rocket propelled grenades. Sgt. First Class William K. Lacey was assigned to 201st Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Knox, Ky.
