Nothing ticks me off more than seeing some yoyo on the news burning an American flag, but sometimes burning the flag is right the right thing to do. U.S. Code states that for proper flag etiquette, a retired American flag must be burned or buried.

Flag Retirement Ceremony in Loveland

According to the Loveland Reporter Herald, the Marine Corps League and Loveland Fire and Rescue Authority will hold a flag retirement ceremony at 9 a.m. Saturday at the fire training facility at 100 E. Fire Engine Red Road.

You can bring in your own old flags to be retired. The ceremony is open to the public.

GI Joe Post 244 in Jeffersontown, Ky., conducted an annual flag retirement ceremony on Saturday, June 13, 2015. Over 14,000 flags were respectfully retired. This YouTube video gives you an idea of what happens at a flag retirement ceremony:
