The announcement made by the owner of YÜZÜ Asian Café, Nith Sananikone, says "It is with the heaviest of hearts that I announce the closing of Yuzu Asian Cafe. I wanted to thank all of our ardent supporters, commercial partners, distributors, vendors, and the gracious Town of Windsor for all the support and patronage during our course of business." Sananikore added, "My most humble apologies goes out to everyone who fell in love with us for letting y'all down."

YÜZÜ Asian Café in Windsor launched with a soft opening on January 8, 2021 with a focus on Asian cuisine and sushi. YÜZÜ Asian Café took the place of Okole Maluna, a Hawaiian restaurant that had served customers at 431 Main Street since 2004 closed on November 25, 2020.

Nith Sananokone closed out the announcement of the closure of YÜZÜ Asian Café by saying "Please be patient if you decided to come visit us these last few days as it will only be Yuzu's favorite bartender, Hollishea, and myself." Adding " It would mean the world to be able to get to shake your hand or give you a hug before we are completely closed."
