It has been nearly five years since the announcement that the United States' oldest brewery said it was going to bring its beer to Colorado. We've been patiently waiting, and for the past two years now, I thought that this brewery had forgotten about Colorado altogether.

The Legacy of Yuengling Beer

This Pennsylvania brewery has been brewing beer since 1829. For those who are not math-savvy, that is nearly 200 years. The fifth-generation brewery announced a partnership with Molson Coors in September 2020 to bring the wildly popular beer brand to lovers of beer in Colorado.

After a few years had gone by, I started to wonder if Yuengling would ever see the shelves and bars of Northern Colorado. I also thought that the partnership with Molson Coors may have hit a rough patch, too, considering it doesn't take years for a beer to make its way halfway across the continental United States. Recently, I started doing a little research, and here is what I found.

How Yuengling’s Expansion Is Structured

Yuengling beer is owned by the Yuengling family, but is in a joint venture with Molson Coors Beverage Company to expand its reach into other states. The brewery itself is under the sole ownership of Richard Yuengling Jr.

The best way to see how the expansion into Colorado is coming is to look at the careers page to see what kind of job openings there might be. What I found looks promising.

Currently, on the careers page at Yuengling.com, there are eight jobs posted for the brewery in the state of Colorado, specifically Denver. These jobs include a summer concessions operator, merchandiser, CDL A delivery driver, logistics manager, facility maintenance technician, and two sales representative positions in grocery.

There is only one caveat for these positions: while they may have the Yuenling logo on the webpage, the jobs are posted on molsoncoors.com.  I am hoping that these positions are actually for Yuengling Beer.

A Message to Yuengling from Colorado

Yuengling, if this happens to get to you some way or somehow, please hurry up and get your tasty beer to us lovers of the brand in Colorado as soon as possible.

25 Western Colorado Breweries You Need to Visit

Colorado is famous for a lot of things, including beer.

Of course, the most famous breweries in the state are places like New Belgium, Coors Brewery, and Odell on the Front Range, but Western Colorado has its fair share of great breweries as well.
