Whether it's playing for a Friday night crowd at a local bar or festival, or performing on stage in front of thousands of people at an arena, Colorado is home to many talented bands, singers, and musicians. Some artists from the Centennial State have even risen in fame to become global superstars.

But who is the most successful musical group or singer from Colorado?

Success can be measured in a variety of ways. In this case, it's determined by the band or singer who's made the most earnings from their music.

OneRepublic, Pretty Lights, The Fray, and Nathaniel Rateliff are a few of the most famous musicians who started their careers in Colorado, but there are many other talented artists on that list too.

However, when ranking the highest-grossing band or singer from the state, The Fray reportedly reigns supreme.
