Toys for Tots was started in 1947 in Los Angeles when he collected 5,000 toys during that first campaign just before Christmas. In 1948 Walt Disney jumped on board and designed their logo and also created the first every National poster. Then in 1949, major celebrities, like Frank Sinatra, started to endorse the campaign and as they say, the rest is history.

At the conclusion of the 2012 campaign, Toys for Tots have distributed almost 17 million toys. Amazing journey!

So how can you help locally?  Toys for Tots have two local campaigns with one in Greeley and also Fort Collins.  Dusty Hughes, co-coordinator with the Fort Collins campaign would like to remind everyone that the 20th Hope Memorial Toys For Tots Cruise is coming up on Saturday, December 14th and starts at McCormick Automotive in Ft Collins.
