The lung cancer community is on a mission to make surviving lung cancer the expectation, not the exception. Anyone with lungs can get lung cancer.

Many think you have to be a smoker to lung cancer and that is not always the case. Although smokers are the most common cases, there are other ways people can, and do, get lung cancer.

Fundraising for lung cancer research can help families think of survival in terms of years, instead of months. By taking action in the Free to Breathe movement and fundraising, you’re bringing hope and empowerment to all those touched by the disease - Free to Breathe volunteer event chair Kersten Baldwin

The Free to Breathe movement here in Colorado are trying to reach their goal this year of $63,000 and would like to invite everyone to the Free to Breathe 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, October 4. The event will be held at Washington Park () in Denver starting with registration at 7:30 a.m. Opening ceremonies take place at 8:45 a.m. and the run/walk will start right at 9:)0 a.m.

United in the belief that every person with lung cancer deserves a cure, the Free to Breathe community has helped raise more than $12 million to fund groundbreaking research, enroll more patients in clinical trials and provide free educational resources to those living with lung cancer.
