Deviled eggs are one of our favorite things. My Wife, Jenny, has a family recipe that her Dad came up with many years ago. Everyone loves them and always wonder what the secret ingredient is that makes them so good. The secret ingredient is horseradish!

Here is the recipe

  • 1 dozen hard cooked eggs (throw in an extra one in case one breaks or doesn't peel
  • 1/2 cup salad dressing (we prefer Miracle Whip
  • 2 tsp. vinegar
  • 2 tsp. prepared mustard
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp. horseradish (Jenny puts in extra, closer to a heaping tablespoon)

Peel and cut hard cooked eggs in half. Place yolks in a bowl and mash, a pastry blender works well for this. Stir in remaining ingredients, spoon mixture into a gallon size baggie, cut corner out of baggie and squeeze contents into the egg white halves. Sprinkle eggs with paprika.

*One more thing we have learned over the years. Fresh eggs do not peel well. Buy your eggs at least one week in advance.
