These Are the Dream Jobs of Coloradans in a Post AI World
More and more these days, it seems as if Artificial intelligence is making its way into the workforce. For some, they are worried that this new technology may eventually end up taking their job.
If that does happen, what do they do? Do they look for another job in the same field or do they look for something that could be considered "AI proof"? At least for the time being.
Dream jobs for Coloradans that can't be done by AI
As of right now, most of the jobs that cannot be done by artificial intelligence fall in the realm of actual labor. So what does Colorado want to do in a post-artificial intelligence world? Those of us in Colorado who would love to pick our dream jobs that cannot be taken over by artificial intelligence want to work with our hands.
There is something about creating things with your hands and that satisfaction that it brings is just something that makes you feel accomplished. According to hostingadvice.com, these are the dream jobs that Coloradans would love to have in a post-artificial intelligence world.
Artisanal Bakery
I got into baking a few years ago and it is a highly rewarding hobby. Plus, you can eat what you make.
Specialty Coffee Shop
These days, you see more and more coffee shops popping up around Colorado. We love our coffee and humans need their caffeine to function. Sounds like a win-win to me.
Boutique Bookstore
While a lot of what we read is now digital, there is still a high demand for physical books. Coloradans would love to run a specialty bookstore in their neighborhood.
If artificial intelligence took my job, what would I do? After we bought our home in Johnstown nearly a decade ago, I fell into the hobby of woodworking. Being stubborn and not wanting to pay a premium price for pressed chipboard with a cheap veneer on the top was the catalyst to falling into the hobby.
I know for a fact that a robot couldn't do the type of work I do in my little hobby shop. The care for detail and the love that I put into each piece of wood that I am working on cannot be accomplished by a robot. So, that is totally what I would want to do. I would love to build custom furniture. Bedroom sets, dining room tables, and yes, I'd even build a desk as a home for your AI machine.
