These Are the Days You Can Go to the Denver Zoo for free in 2025
There are plenty of amazing things you can do for free in Colorado. Some of those things you can do on any chosen day. If you are on a budget and want to get into some of the best places that Colorado has to offer, you are going to want to keep reading.
The Denver Zoo is one of the best zoos in the United States. The exhibits are second to none and the animals are always Instagram-worthy. While the Denver Zoo isn't free to gain access to every day, there are some days you can experience Colorado's biggest zoo at no cost.
Denver Zoo Free Days in 2025
The Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance has six upcoming days you may be able to visit the zoo for free in the Mile High City. These are the dates for free days:
- Sunday, January 26 - tickets released on January 15
- Sunday, February 9 - tickets released on January 29
- Sunday, April 6 - tickets released on March 26
- Friday, November 7 - tickets released on October 27
- Saturday, November 15 - tickets released on November 4
- Sunday, November 23 - tickets release on November 12
Please note, that you will not be able to just walk up to the gates at the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance and walk in without tickets.
How to get your free tickets to the Denver Zoo
To gain entry into the Denver Zoo on the free days, you will have to sign up for the lottery of available tickets. These tickets are only available online and you will have to pick the specific day that tickets are released for the free day you choose.
You can book up to five tickets for each free day based on the number of people in your group. All guests must have a timed entry ticket for the free day, this includes children two and under. For more information on the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance Free Days in 2025, visit denverzoo.org.
