The Denver Zoo is Closing For a Few Days at the End of This Month
The Denver Zoo has a rich history of preservation and it is also a great place to spend a day with the family in Colorado. However, if you are hoping to go to the Denver Zoo later this month, you will have to change your plans. The Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance announced the nine-day closure on Tuesday scheduled for the end of February.
The Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance says that the facility will close to replace a current water line main, which is approximately 50 years old. The water line main replacement is a critical improvement to the water infrastructure and will prevent future leaks and losses of water on the facility grounds.

The Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance is making the improvements from funding provided by the City and County of Denver and the cost is approximately $3.2 million and will take several months to complete.
