Dogs: they're wonderful. On most days I feel like dogs are better than humans. The only thing better than looking at cute dog pictures is looking at pictures of dogs that you can adopt and give a forever home...although this can be a little dangerous because I've come REAL close to adopting about 17 dogs in one day.

We currently have one dog (Lucy) who just turned two in July. We adopted her when she was only about 10 weeks old when we lived in Washington at the Seattle Humane Society. She's a red heeler/lab/hound mix and has been a wonderful addition to our family.

This was about 15 minutes after I picked up Lucy from the humane society and brought her to work.

We've created so many memories in just the two years that we've had her and we're looking forward to many more.

The awesome people at Humane Societies all over and the work that they do for so many animals cannot be understated.

Here in Northern Colorado, the staff at the Larimer Humane Society along with the Humane Society of Weld County are always looking for ways to help and find forever homes for ALL of their animals and critters that they rescue and take great care of until a forever home can be found.

There's no better time than the holidays to welcome a new furry four legged family member to your household (as long as you know the animal will be well taken care of and a welcomed addition) because as cute as dogs are, they need to be attended to and cared for, especially puppies.
