Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run

Only in Colorado can you get all 4 seasons in one day and yesterday was one of those days for the Sleigh Riders 'Summer Series' Poker/Toy Run. Mother Nature however didn't stop hundreds of us from raising thousands of dollars.

To sum it up, it's just about my second favorite day of the year! This addition to the Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run was added soley as our yearly fundraiser. Every penny we collect from the "Summer Series" event goes directly into our college scholarship fund (Sleigh Rides) and the best part is your donation now is 100% tax deductible.

The Sleigh Riders 'Summer Series' event pre registration will remain open through Monday June 24th. It truly is a fun day and all vehicles are welcomed and encouraged to attend and if you pre register, you get the day for about half price and who knows, you could win $1000 in hard cold cash and you only one click away.

I wrote a story Monday about the Sleigh Riders event this past Saturday after the crew planted 1900 trees in the tune of about 4 hours. One of the families sent us a video today that they had put together and I wanted to share their perspective.

I can't even tell you how many hours were spent organizing this event and when Mother Nature called a few days before our original weekend to plant we wondered how it would all go. Although we still planned on 50-75 to show up and help, it only took about 30 to do the work of a 100 people.

Although Mother Nature has been kind with our recent precipitation windfall, so has the CSU Forestry Service by returning the $4000 donation the Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run made to help replant 2000 trees in the High Park Fire burn area. Find out why.

It will be almost 11 months since we had to re-route the original ride plan for the 2012 Sleigh Riders 'Summer Series' event due to the High Park Fire consuming half the route. So we wanted to give back and on Saturday May 4th, 2013, we will do just that.

The CSU Forestry Service held their orientation today for those who are planning on helping to replant in the High Park Fire area this Spring. Many were home/landowners, single individuals and even some on motorcycles showed up; crazy bikers.

Here we go friends. Less than 3 weeks till Spring is officially here and with it the warm weather and many of you will be getting those bikes off the tenders, washed up and planning your Summer events. We'd like to have you ink this one on your calendar.

Saturday May 4th many of us will gather in Masonville for lunch and a beautiful motorcycle ride. This isn't just any motorcycle ride and our destination has been hand picked just for The Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run.
