The 2017 camping season is getting ready to kick-off, and already some Larimer County campsites are filling up.

One of Todd's favorite places to go camping in the World is Tunnel Campground on Laramie River Road just off Highway 14 in the Poudre Canyon. We have pictures.

Firefighters are burning slash piles North and West of Fort Collins throughout the week as conditions allow starting today. So, if you see smoke, that's probably what you are seeing. No need to call 911.

You need some cheap firewood?  You might have to do a little work, but how does $20 a cord sound? The firewood in campgrounds on the Canyon Lakes Ranger District in the Roosevelt National Forest was created from hazardous trees being cut and left to cure...

It will be almost 11 months since we had to re-route the original ride plan for the 2012 Sleigh Riders 'Summer Series' event due to the High Park Fire consuming half the route. So we wanted to give back and on Saturday May 4th, 2013, we will do just that.

When your loved ones pass (or you) what do you do with remains after their wish of being cremated has been carried out. Give them back to Mother Earth at a place of their choosing? Keep them on your mantle? Divide between other family members? Well, now you can be a tree!

If you would like to help plant a tree or two in the High Park Fire area you can do just that and the animals will thank you. Your donation to the Colorado State Forest Service is tax deductible so if you want to plant some trees or just help buy some you can contact the Colorado State Forest Service with the information provided below.

Details are starting to emerge as we get closer to Spring on replanting a section of the High Park Fire area. As many remember, the Sleigh Riders "Summer Series" event had to be moved due to the fact that half the ride route was on fire. So we decided to do something about it.

U.S. Forest Service firefighters plan to burn slash piles starting as soon as today (Thursday) and may continue through Friday if conditions allow. Burning is planned for the Estes Valley and Big Thompson areas, located south and east of Estes Park.

We are expecting snow this weekend, but it still could be your last chance to go camping this season...If you are tough enough. Due to the unseasonably warm weather, there are still a couple campgrounds open for one more week in the Canyon Lakes Ranger District.

There is a small fire burning in the Big Thompson Canyon west of Loveland.
