Super Moon Rises Over Northern Colorado – November 13, 2016 [PICTURES]
The latest Super Moon, which goes by Beaver Moon or Frosty Moon rose over Northern Colorado Sunday night.
My wife and I drove out to our cousin Paula's house in Ault, CO to capture pictures of the moon as it began to rise. It actually came up before dark at 4:37 p.m. It really was spectacular and very large, about 14% larger and 30% brighter than normal.
According to Space.com:
It's not only the closest and brightest Super Moon of 2016, but also the largest since 1948. The full moon won't come this close to earth again until November 25, 2034.
