Super Moon Rises over Northern Colorado 11-13-16
Jenny Harding, For TSM

The latest Super Moon, which goes by Beaver Moon or Frosty Moon rose over Northern Colorado Sunday night.

My wife and I drove out to our cousin Paula's house in Ault, CO to capture pictures of the moon as it began to rise. It actually came up before dark at 4:37 p.m. It really was spectacular and very large, about 14%  larger and 30% brighter than normal.

According to

It's not only the closest and brightest Super Moon of 2016, but also the largest since 1948. The full moon won't come this close to earth again until November 25, 2034.

Thanks to my lovely wife, Jenny, for taking these photos:
