So How Many Peas Are Really In A Pot Pie? – Brian’s Blog
You ever look at the picture on the front of food box and then open it up to find nothing that resembles the picture? I have bought many frozen pizzas that looked covered in toppings and cheese only to find a unleavened wafer with a few strands of cheese and couple cubes of protein inside.
I decided to put the frozen pot pie to the truth in advertising test. On the box it shows a pie filled with chicken, gravy, potatoes, carrots and peas oozing out of an overfilled crust. I studied the picture on the front of the box and saw that there were 3 peas in the picture trying to jump out of the pie. Could these be the only 3 peas in the pie?
I microwaved the pie, busted it open and counted...one, two, three peas. There were actually only 3 peas in the whole pie! I guess I can't complain because there were 3 peas in the picture but I expected more. How much can a pea cost? I can see why these are only 69 cents. I also wonder how a pot pie can be the coldest thing in the world when frozen, like your spouses rear end in bed, but when cooked is hotter than the inside of a volcano. I still love them and they are sure worth the spare change it costs to buy those 3 peas.
