Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run HUGE Success

Well, I don't even know where to begin really other than saying Sunday December 19th, 2010 will go down as one of the most memorable days for me.

For starters,  we just couldn't have asked for better weather to do this event in. In the 5 years I have been doing this toy run, 12/19/10 was by far the best.

I decided to ride "the tail" this year so I could watch the bikes in front of me and when we left Centennial Park about 12:30 and headed North on 23rd Ave it was clear instantly that this was the biggest toy run yet.   By the time I got out of the staging area the beginning of the run was already down by 10th st; that will give you an idea of how far this toy run stretched.

It was totally amazing to see people standing on the roof of their homes taking pictures along the entire route; all the families that brought their kids out to the street to watch the bikes go by and literally hundreds of vehicles that pulled over to take pictures, clap and cheer us on.  In fact, I witnessed one of the most amazing things I had ever seen.  A couple who had pulled over on Eastbound 34 when they saw what was approaching behind them.  They got out of the car between 35th Ave and 23rd Ave to cheer us on and HIGH FIVED everyone coming past her on the right side of the line.  {Bikes in a parade run like this ride two abreast}

The party at the Cactus Canyon was 2nd to none and a good time was had by all as we ate and gave away over $2000 in prizes.
